The best advice I’ve gotten, is to never do anything you’ll be ashamed of. If it’s something you’d hide from you’re friends or family, don’t do it.

I know reading it seems like DUH. But I think we’ve all been there with skeletons. This gives you integrity, and better yet FREEDOM. Having nothing to hide is so liberating, coming from a girl who carries 35 years of skeletons, secrets, and shame. It seems silly but whenever I’m at a crossroads with any kind of temptation, whether it be substances, or an one night stand, or even going to bed late, is this something I’d WANT to share and be proud of? Is this going to turn me into a liar? Can I do this in public for the world to see and not feel shame? Cause 10/10 times if you think “nobody has to know, just this one time” you’ll regret it. Cause you know. And only you live with that. And if you wouldn’t want anyone to know, you’re doing something wrong. Make good choices people! Do what feels right. Don’t do what feels wrong. Listen to your heart and trust yourself.
