MONOLITH

It is everything.
It looks like nothing.

Eleven millimeters of titanium and black glass. It sees, listens, projects and keeps what's yours. And through HAL, it speaks to every frontier AI.

No buttons.

No marks.

No curves.

No cables.

We took everything away. Except what matters.

Chapter I

THE OBJECT

Inside · 0 of 9
01 — Form

Form. Taken to the limit.

Grade 5 titanium and black glass in a 1 : 4 : 9 proportion. Not a logo. Not a button. Not a single hole.

11 × 44 × 99 mm
02 — Edge

An edge that cuts light.

90° edges with a quarter-millimeter chamfer, polished by hand. Glass and titanium meet perfectly flush.

Grade 5 titanium · black DLC
03 — Front

It's watching. You'll never see it.

Under the glass: a 48 MP camera, a depth sensor and an infrared emitter. This is the only time you'll see them.

Glass with optical window
04 — Top

Your wall is now a display.

The entire top face is black glass. Behind it, a laser projector that never needs focusing.

MEMS laser · RGB
05 — Inside

All of this. In 11 millimeters.

An AI processor, a vault for your keys, a silicon-carbon battery and two exciters that turn the glass into a speaker.

No ports · no grilles
06 — Back

The other side.

The charging coil with its ring of Qi2 magnets, the passive radiator that carries the bass, and the vapor chamber that cools without a fan.

Qi2 · passive radiator · vapor chamber
Materials

Absolute black. End to end.

01

Black titanium

A grade 5 titanium chassis with a black DLC coating. It doubles as the antenna, with insulated breaks inside that are invisible from the outside.

Unibody · DLC
02

Black glass

Black glass front, back and top. Internal optical windows let visible and infrared light reach the camera, sensors and projector.

Dead-front
03

No openings

Sound comes from the body itself vibrating. The microphones listen through laser-drilled holes invisible to the naked eye.

IP68
04

Long-lasting battery

A silicon-carbon anode and a low-power coprocessor that keeps everything asleep until it's needed.

Up to 12 days standby¹
05

The base

It aligns it with magnets, stands it at an angle to project, and carries its own 5,000 mAh battery and a 10 W woofer: six hours of projection with no outlet. Any Qi charger works too. There isn't a single connector.

Qi2 · up to 15 W · in the box
06

Passive cooling

A vapor chamber against the titanium: no fans, no noise.

Vapor chamber
Chapter II

THE MIND

The mind of a car that drives itself. In the palm of your hand.

01

Neural computer

A 3 nm mobile processor with a dedicated NPU runs vision and language models on the device, with no dependence on the cloud.

SoC + NPU · 12 GB RAM
02

Pure vision

Like cars that drive on cameras alone: an end-to-end neural network turns image and depth into a 3D map of its surroundings.

End-to-end · occupancy network
03

Over-the-air updates

New features and models arrive on their own. The object you own today is better tomorrow.

Signed OTA · secure boot
04

Sentinel Mode

Resting on a table, it keeps watch: it detects motion with camera and radar, records the event and alerts HAL.

Event detection · encrypted log
05

Digital key

It unlocks as you approach with your phone, like a car. Distance measured to the centimeter.

BLE + UWB + NFC
06

Invisible controls

Pressure sensors beneath the titanium and gestures read by radar. Squeeze it, turn your hand or talk to it: there are no buttons.

Pressure · radar · voice
07

Agent firewall

Every request that leaves the device goes through its own firewall. If an agent tries to send data it shouldn't, Monolith stops it and tells you.

Egress inspection · per-agent permissions
08

Your models, your memory

It ships with three models installed and accepts your own. Your personal memory lives encrypted on the device: neither HAL nor we can read it.

Local models · encrypted memory
09

The center of your home

A Matter border router over Thread: lights, locks and sensors are controlled from Monolith, even without internet.

Matter · Thread
Link to HAL

Always connected. Always encrypted.

  1. Capture. Camera, microphones, radar and GNSS generate data on the device.
  2. Process. The NPU filters and summarizes locally: only what matters travels.
  3. Transmit. Over the best path available: Wi-Fi, 5G, satellite or through another Monolith.
  4. Protect. Secure enclave and end-to-end post-quantum encryption.
  5. Respond. HAL answers by voice or projects data onto any surface.
Chapter III

THE SWARM

If you have more than one

One is brilliant. Several are a network.

  1. They find each other. Bring them close and they pair over UWB and Bluetooth, with no setup.
  2. Their own network. Without internet, they talk over LoRa across kilometers. If one has signal, it shares the link to HAL.
  3. Sound and light together. Two are stereo, four are surround. Their projections merge into one larger image.
  4. They see more. Multiple cameras and radars build a single 3D map of the place.
  5. Local node. Together they keep copies of the group's data, without going through any server.
  6. Shared custody. Multisig across units: moving funds can require, for example, 2 of 3.
Chapter IV

THE NODE

Decentralized data

Your free space, put to work. It stores encrypted fragments of the HAL network and earns rewards. What's yours, only you can open.

01

Shared storage

You set aside part of your storage for the network. HAL users' files are encrypted, split and spread across thousands of nodes.

Encrypted fragments · erasure coding
02

No one reads what it holds

Your Monolith stores pieces it cannot decrypt: you don't see other people's data, and no one sees yours.

End-to-end encryption
03

Earn by contributing

The network pays in tokens for proven storage, uptime and transfer. Rewards go straight to the Monolith's own wallet.

Proof of storage · variable rewards
04

Your private vault

Your photos, notes and records are encrypted with keys from the secure element and backed up to the network. Lose your Monolith and you recover them with your phrase.

Encrypted backup · only your keys
05

Works while it charges

It serves data to the network mostly on its base, over Wi-Fi. In your pocket, it prioritizes your battery.

Node mode while charging
06

You decide how much

Choose how much space to contribute, or turn node mode off. In Vault Mode, the node disconnects along with the radios.

0 to 75% of storage

Rewards depend on network demand and token value; earnings are not guaranteed. Storage does not use proof-of-work mining, which on a pocket device would consume more energy than it pays.

Chapter V

THE FREQUENCIES

Radio spectrum

Ten radios. One object. From 13.56 MHz to 64 GHz.

Chapter VI

THE SENSES

See · hear · show

Sees without being seen. Sounds without speakers. Shows without a screen.

01

Hidden camera

A 48 MP sensor with 4K60 video, behind the glass's optical window. Its dual-band filter passes visible light and 850 nm infrared for night vision.

12 MP · 4K30 · dual-band filter
02

3D depth

A time-of-flight sensor with a flat metasurface lens under a millimeter thick: it measures space, reads gestures and corrects the projection.

ToF · meta-optics
03

Laser projector

MEMS mirror laser scanning through the glass top: always in focus on a wall, table or palm, with keystone correction. Designed for low light.

MEMS LBS · RGB · 1080p · up to 50 lm
04

Surface sound

Two exciters turn the glass into the speaker for mids and highs, and a racetrack woofer with a passive radiator moves the lows through the body. Three amplifiers, and it tunes itself to the room. No grilles.

2 exciters + woofer · 3 class-D amps
05

Hearing at a distance

Four beamforming MEMS microphones separate your voice from the noise, even on the street.

Beamforming · echo cancellation
06

Privacy by gesture

Turn it face down or cover it with your palm: a dedicated circuit cuts the camera, microphones and radar.

Dedicated cut-off circuit
Chapter VII

THE VAULT

Offline mode · cold wallet

Off the grid. Literally. Squeeze the edges for three seconds: every radio shuts off and Monolith becomes a vault.

01

Radios without power

In Vault Mode, power is cut to 5G, satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, UWB, NFC, LoRa, GNSS and radar. It isn't a software airplane mode: the circuits are switched off.

RF power cut-off
02

Isolated secure element

Private keys live in a certified chip, separate from the main processor. They never leave it, not even toward HAL.

Secure element · CC EAL6+
03

Signing by light

No cables, no radios: the camera reads the transaction as a QR code and the projector displays the signature for your watch-only wallet to scan.

QR air-gap · PSBT
04

You verify what you sign

The projector shows the amount and destination address before signing. You confirm by squeezing the body, not on another device's screen.

Physical confirmation
05

Open standards

BIP-39 recovery phrase, multi-chain accounts and multisig across several Monoliths.

BIP-39 · BIP-32 · multisig
06

Months without charging

With the radios off, consumption is minimal: in Vault Mode the battery lasts months.¹
